It's easier when you know which ones are the good ones
The stars, the steady ones, and ones on probation
I love roses. Deeply. Possibly irrationally. I also need to confess something slightly less romantic: not all of them are winners. Some are absolute garden royalty, some are dependable workhorses, and a few are currently surviving purely out of politeness.
So, this isn’t a “how to grow roses” post. And it’s not a “should you grow roses” post either. It’s simply a very honest look at the roses I actually have, and how they’re behaving in the real world of my garden (which is clay, wind and occasional neglect).
Let’s begin with the overachievers.
